Export Sales Assistant at Abrams & Chronicle Books

Do you want to kick-start your career in sales? Abrams & Chronicle Books are searching for a proactive Export Sales Assistant to join their growing team.
Based in London, this company is the European arm of two highly acclaimed U.S. publishing houses: ABRAMS in New York and Chronicle in San Francisco. This position reports to the Head of Export Gift Sales and focuses on gift sales throughout Europe but you will also provide general support to the Export Sales Team.
Key responsibilities include providing exemplary customer service by processing and following up orders, managing customer mailings and promptly responding to general requests and queries. Working alongside the warehouse team, you will fulfil orders and arrange to send out samples. You will also create and send newsletters, order forms and sell-sheets and expect to provide information and data when requested. This opportunity will allow you to manage a list of your own customers and you may have the chance to attend Trade Shows. As part of the team, you will also be expected to carry out other ad-hoc duties as required.
Abrams & Chronicle Books are looking for an organised and enthusiastic individual with excellent time-management skills who shows meticulous attention to detail. The ability to multitask and prioritise effectively is essential. The successful candidate must have superb communication skills and be able to work using their own initiative. They want to see a team player with a collaborative approach to working. No prior publishing experience is needed but administrative experience would be advantageous. Growth and Publishing Lead at PinkNews

Are you passionate about social media, driving content strategy and formulating data-led decisions for the world’s largest LGBTQIA+ media publisher? PinkNews are looking for a forward-thinking Growth and Publishing Lead to join their team.
Based in London, PinkNews’ mission is to provide a place for LGBTQIA+ people to connect with each other and with content that matters to them, aiming to entertain, inform, inspire and empower.
As Growth and Publishing Lead, you will work with the Head of Video and Executive Producers to provide insights into commissioning strategy and production. You will also work closely with the editorial teams and PinkNews’ established audience.
The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the publishing of social media content across all platforms. As Growth and Publishing Lead, you will take the lead on publishing strategy and on implementing, creating and optimising metadata, thumbnail creation and social content. You will also manage publishing processes and scheduling tools, to ensure content is delivered on time and to a high standard. The Growth and Publishing Lead is responsible for increasing revenue, viewership and follower counts across all platforms, thus making this position perfect for those with strong leadership, analytical and data management skills.
PinkNews is looking for over four years of experience in social media publishing with proven analytical skills, data management and expert knowledge. Previous management experience is essential. The ideal candidate will be highly organised with excellent written and spoken communication skills and strong copywriting skills. Experience with publishing branded content and with working in digital publishing or a newsroom is desired but not essential.

Journalism Intern at 1843 Magazine (The Economist)

Interest in digital journalism is a must, as you will be writing social media posts. The successful candidate will have a record of academic achievement and strong critical thinking skills. Alongside a CV and cover letter, you are required to submit three pitch ideas and a short critique on an 1843 piece linked in the application form.
The role is hybrid, but you must attend the office in London at least three days a week.
