Rights Assistant at RCW Literary Agency

Looking to begin a career in publishing? RCW Literary Agency are searching for a motivated Rights Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to experience working for a literary agency that represents a range of prize-winning authors worldwide! 

 

The successful applicant will work with the Foreign Rights team, providing administrative support for the team and assisting the rights manager. Your main duties will involve administrative tasks including drafting and processing contracts, invoicing and following up on payments, providing general administrative duties and managing the applications for authors’ foreign tax forms. You will also be responsible for arranging travel for International Book Fairs and managing the agency’s catalogues for the London and Frankfurt book fairs. Excellent interpersonal skills are a must as you will be communicating with clients, publishers and internal departments.  

 

RCW are primarily looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing and organised individual with excellent attention to detail, a strong ability to manage a varied workload and the ability to prioritise effectively. You will be working both independently and collaboratively across the team. They would like you to be a fast learner, diligent and adept with Microsoft Office programmes. No prior experience in publishing is necessary as full training will be provided. The most important thing they want to see is your passion for books.

 

The position is full-time and hybrid, you will be expected to work a minimum of three days per week at RCW’s Notting Hill office.

Junior Content Editor (Maternity Cover) at Jamie Oliver Group

Key responsibilities of the role include supporting the team in delivering ambitious, world-class editorial across all content requirements, with specific focus on content and copy for jamieoliver.com, recipe projects including Ministry of Food and database upkeep. Utilising your SEO knowledge, you will deliver high quality content, write regular online features, assist with newsletter writing and create, manage and populate all editorial calendars. You will upload new recipes, assist the ongoing project of updating back-catalogues of recipes and online content as well as much more.

 

Jamie Oliver Group are searching for a multitasker who can prioritise work effectively to deadlines. Above all, you will be a team player, outgoing, positive and able to adapt to a changing workload. The Jamie Oliver Group is always open to creative ideas, and you will be expected to work under your own initiative, suggesting ways you think can improve the way you work. Though experience in publishing or media would be advantageous, the most important thing is that you can demonstrate excellent written skills, administrative abilities and an enthusiasm for food!

 

This position is a 12–14-month fixed term contract beginning at the start of June. Hybrid working is offered from the London office.

Marketing Assistant at Paraorchestra

Location: Bristol

 

Paraorchestra is seeking a highly organised and proactive Marketing Assistant to support the delivery of marketing and communications for all artistic projects and artist development programmes. This is a part-time permanent position based in Bristol.


The Marketing Assistant will engage in various tasks across the organisation's output, including supporting rehearsals and performances in Bristol and across the UK, content creation and collaborating with venue marketing teams. While the role is predominantly task-led, it also involves providing day-to-day, time-sensitive administrative support for the Head of Communications and Marketing Managers. Therefore, the ideal candidate should be highly organised, detail-oriented and passionate about systems and processes.


A strong grasp of digital tools, including Microsoft Office, and excellent writing skills are essential for this role. While prior experience in the arts is preferable, it is not mandatory. What matters most is a passion for and readiness to learn about the industry, along with a demonstrable strong administrative experience.


The Marketing Assistant will play a central role in supporting Paraorchestra's mission, contributing to the success of artistic projects and artist development programs.
